00 October 2004 - Joined the United States Army

00 December 2004 - Completed Basic Combat Training and Advance Individual Training (Infantry) at Fort Benning, GA

00 February 2005 - Graduated from Basic Airborne Course

Assigned to D Company, Special Troops Unit at Fort Bragg, NC

00 May 2005 - Arrived at Fort Richardson, AK and was assigned to B Company, 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry (Airborne) as a rifleman

00 October 2006 - Deployed with B Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom

09 April 2007 - He was killed when a mortar round struck a building he was located in, in Karmah, Iraq

He is buried in Santa Fe National Cemetary, New Mexico in Section "S" Grave marker 320

CPL Spohn is survived by his wife Amanda, and step daughter Raynee Redington.
