Intersection north of Sadzot, Belgium looking east. This was the jumping off point for the 509th attack on 28 Dec 44 around 0330.; B Company was on line in the ditches on the south side of the road. C Company with Dick Fisco as lead Scout came down from the town of Clerheid on the ridge north of the road and crossed the road heading south on B Companies left flank.

The machine gun platoon had also been set up at this intersection referred to as the Erezee, Grandmenil, Sadzot intersection with DeChastain, Mims and several others manning the gun.

Fields north west of Sadzot, Belgium. These are the fields B Company crossed as they attacked heading south to Sadzot. A Company was further off into the treeline moving to flank the town and trap the Germans from the west.

Open fields on east side of Sadzot, Belgium. These are the fields in which the B Company 87th Mortar Battalion had their 4.2 inch mortars emplaced when they are attacked by the Germans. The low ground going left to right to the trees on the right is where the C Company 509th advanced toward Sadzot.
