
The AMF fob was worn by the 509th ABCT from 1973 to 1983 hanging from the button on the left breast pocket of the Class A and B uniforms. The AMF was a NATO Rapid Deployment Force during the Cold War comprised of 14 member nations. This particular badge was worn by a member of D Battery, 1-509th ABCT from 1979 to 1981 while stationed in Vicenza, Italy.
