SUMMARY OF SERVICE: Assigned to the 509th PIB as a replacement at the Anzio Beachhead.  Made the combat jump into Southern France, 15 August 1944.  Participated in the Battle of the Bulge.  When the 509th disbanded March 1945, he was reassigned to E CO 508th PIR, 82nd Airborne Division.  "America's Guard of Honor 82nd Airborne Division. General Eisenhower's "SHAEF" Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force. Riems, France "Little Red School House" 8 May 1945 - Capitulation Du Riech.
